Details

Our company is a brand new ag tech startup and the subsidiary of a national not-for-profit organization. We need a strategic marketing plan for this new corporation that will set it apart in a highly competitive market. We will need a plan that will promote the company and highlight our innovative technologies, while promoting our 'Cinderella' story of NFP to tech startup. This should include a well researched strategy with detailed, executable plans for making us stand out in the crowd.

Deliverables

Students will need to:

1. get to know our organization, our company, our products and our customers

2. come up with a workplan that demonstrates how the strategy will be developed, including timelines

3. research the competition

4. develop an actionable marketing plan with detailed activities for the next 18-24 months

Mentorship

We will provide a key contact within the organization, available to meet regularly with the team and respond to questions all hours of the day.

We can arrange meetings with our IT staff to help with knowledge transfer, and provide the team an opportunity to present their plan to our Board of Directors.

Agriculture, Technology

The Canadian Sheep Federation (CSF) is the parent company of the brand new corporation (incorporation documents submitted and name pending) in need of a marketing strategy. The CSF is a national not-for-profit farming organization that has developed a number of novel agricultural technologies that it would like to commercialize under the banner of its new subsidiary. These include blockchain-enabled livestock and commodity traceability systems and artificial intelligence tools used for animal identification and welfare assessment.
